Coming In Hotttttt

Just dropping a note to let you all know that summer has been spectacular thus far. From the U.P. to Bay City, Alpena over to Traverse City, it’s just really beginning! Music is therapeutic. Music is a language. I’ve had people thank me for playing music they recognize from their lifetime as well as opening them to some of my original songs.
I’ve been asked about band shows—if there is a venue that is interested, we will come. As of now, it’s been difficult to shake loose familiar venues that have supported me for 25 years. But I’m finding some success.
What’s new? Still killing it with the Michigan Music History Podcast, continuing my journey with a new Question Mark & The Mysterians documentary with my LA Brother Daniel Ralston, and the new Larry McCray album Heartbreak City is out now! I have a generous co-write on there for ‘Hangman’ along with Charlie Walmsley and Larry. Also they have an outtake that didn’t make the final press—‘Back Pocket’ from my third album was one of two songs axed earlier this year. I’m forever grateful for the experience. I’ve assisted Larry deeply on the last two Joe Bonamassa and Josh Smith produced albums as a writer, demo producer, and my help goes as far back as Larry’s Believe It album. We continue a deep friendship that has gotten stronger since 1994.
Speaking of helping—I am also writing with Bobby Balderrama for new Question Mark & The Mysterians material as well as an album for The Mysterians separate. No rest for the pencil.
As for me, I’ve been writing with Adam Levy & myself in mind for a few years. And currently—finishing a remix/remastered catalog of Muddy Gumbo, and a long awaited reunion/new release. Yes—-that’s my JAM right now.
The road calls this summer though. See you all out and about! Support live original music, share, bring friends. Let’s write the future 🙌💥🎸🎶🌞
